Teaching Assistant leading to school-based teacher training opportunity
Science graduates required for September 2019
A secondary school in Coventry are looking at investing in the future and are currently seeking Science graduates to support across their Science departments (Physics,Chemistry,Biology) for the 2019/20 academic year as teaching assistants, with the opportunity to complete a school-based teacher training programme the following year.
For an aspiring Science teacher in Coventry, who holds or has been predicted a 2:2 or above Science degree, this is a fantastic opportunity and one not to miss! This school has an excellent history of supporting graduate teachers and each individual will be properly mentored by specialist subject mentors throughout the programme.
The successful graduate must:
*Hold an Science degree (2.2 or above)
*Be interested in training to teach
*Be passionate about their specialist subject

*A good team player who is proactive and able to act on their own initiative
You will be required to support Science students across the ability and age range in the classroom, 1:1 and small group settings, with full support from the department and leadership team.
You will be expected to uphold the policies of the school and support the school ethos. This role would be ideal for an ambitious graduate looking to start a career in teaching.
The opportunity:
* Full-time role, Monday - Friday for the full 2019/2020 academic year
* Graduate Teacher/Teaching Assistant role - September 2019 start
* £15'600 - £18'200 per annum pro rata
* Be-spoke training programme
