We are working with an outstanding special needs College in Southwark who are seeking learning support assistants to start immediately. As a teaching assistant you will be supporting students academically, developing life skills, social independence, supporting students in vocation courses, participating in work placements and outdoor activities. As a specialist college, you will be supporting learners with autism, severe learning disabilities and varying levels of behaviour. You'll be required to use a patient, calm and engaging approach to learners, their learning and needs, and be able to work creatively and pro-actively.
