I am currently recruiting for a behavioural school in Solihull that are looking to appoint a new Learning Support Assistant with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, social emotional mental health experience to join their team. The positions are on a day to day, short term or long-term basis with a view to go permanent for the right person. They are seeking people that are graduates, Level 2/3 qualified, Team teach qualification and have experience of working with SEND children in a behavioural school. This position would be good for someone with a sporty background or previous youth worker experience.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working alongside the class teacher and other TA's supporting pupils with everyday school life, however, there will be times that you will need to be supporting children on a one to one and small groups bases independently. You will be a source of support for pupils and will ensure they are motivated, happy, and engaged.
The school caters for children with a wide range of needs including Autism, learning difficulties ADHD and social emotional mental health. The school caters for all aged children.
The successful candidate will bring at least 1 years of experience to the role and a desire to work with children with SEND. You will be empathetic and determined to make a difference.
