Reporting to the Head of Careers Advisory Services The successful candidate will undertake one to one careers advice and guidance and careers group work education. This job role is very KPI based. Duties and Responsibilities *To undertake one-to-one careers advice and guidance with students as needed in our client schools. *To work across the London and South-East to support our client base. *If working in a school environment as part of a contract, to participate as a Duty Adviser and deal with face-to-face, email and telephone queries on a drop in basis at set times. *To participate in the provision of the range of group work *To maintain and establish links with employers who are offering opportunities to students The Careers Advisory role will embrace managing projects that address the following: * Work Experience - short and long term placements, including Studio Schools * Careers Workshops for both students and staff * Apprenticeship Opportunities and the liaison with students across colleges and schools * Traineeships for students across colleges and schools * Talent Pipeline management within colleges and schools * Recruitment opportunities for students to find jobs in the open market * Training providers liaison for funding requirements * Career Event management for colleges and schools *Selecting Apprenticeships for the relevant employment programme: PERSON SPECIFICATION DESIRED REQUIREMENTS * The ability to work above and beyond expectations while delivering exceptional results * Proven success within careers advisory market. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS *Diploma in Careers Guidance or equivalent- Level 6 as minimum *A proven and successful track record in Careers Advisory Services *Experience in delivering education/ learning opportunities *Ability to inspire young people and provide well researched delivery in group environments. *Excellent interpersonal skills *Ability to work flexibly within a team environment *Excellent written and oral communication skills *Ability to create a rapport with students and facilitate learning *Awareness of equal opportunities practice *An understanding of the education system in the UK including Individual Schools, School Federations, Trusts, Academies and prospective 'Free Schools' initiators. *Experience of working remotely, or operating independently, with the ability to maintain self-motivation and be consistently pro-active. *Successful management of longer term projects. *Exceptional oral and written communication skills. *Organised, with the ability to meet deadlines. *Adaptable and able to multi task. *A working knowledge of AWR, employment law and Department for Education regulations. *Computer and numeracy literate. *Full driving licence. *Proven track record of exceeding targets. Regular travel including very occasional overnight stay. *Ability to network and present to Employers, Head Teachers, Directors of Education, School Improvement Teams, School Governing Bodies, Executive Head Teachers, Principles, and Senior Management in Schools & Academies throughout London and the surrounding areas to promote careers services and products across Capita Education Resourcing.
