Job Description

A large school in Durham is looking to appoint a mixed year 1/2 class teacher for at least two terms starting in September 2015. Do you have good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum? Are you creative and fun in your lessons? Are you looking for a challenging and engaging class to work with in 2015? Then we just might have the perfect role for you! This lovely school is looking to appoint a passionate mixed year 1/2 class teacher for at least 2 terms from September 2015. To be considered for this role you must have experience of working within years 1 and/pr 2 and be confident with the KS1 curriculum. You must have good classroom control as there are some challenging pupils within the class. You will be provided with a teaching assistant but you must have good behaviour management as this teaching assistant only works part time. Some of your responsibilities within this role include: Planning, marking, levelling, assessing and differentiating lessons on a daily basis Attending staff meetings and parents evenings Following the KS1 curriculum and delivering innovative and creative lessons Collecting data and showing progress of your pupils Confident with Literacy and Numeracy in KS1 I have been liaising with the school's deputy head teacher who has bags of passion and enthusiasm for teaching. Some of my staff who have worked in the school previously have said the school is a dream to work in as leadership within the school are caring and listen to their staff. The school is modern so there are a lot of new resources and facilities on offer as well as on site parking.
