JOB TITLE: Attendance and Data Officer

LOCATION: Greenwich

JOB HOURS: Permanent, Term Time Plus + 10 Additional Days, 35 Hrs

SALARY: Scale 5 Point 22-25 £22,284 - 24,267 FTE

A secondary school that we are working closely with is seeking an attendance and data manager to join their growing support team. The role will involve promoting school attendance and punctuality, reducing levels of unauthorised absence and supporting pupil participation in learning. The successful candidate will need to work alongside Senior Leaders, the Royal Borough of Greenwich Attendance Services and academy pastoral staff.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have worked in an Educational environment for at least 2 years in a data team
  • Be educated to at least A level or equivalent and 5 GCSEs including English & Maths and have other relevant vocational experience
  • Have an in-depth knowledge and use of proprietary systems such as FischerFamily Trust online, SIMS and RAISEonline (although training will be available)
  • At least one year's related experience of work within a school attendance related service or school administration
  • Have worked with children, young people, parents and families within an educational context
  • Demonstrate good organisational and time-management skills
  • Be able to work under pressure and be highly organised
  • Experience in data administration and analysis
  • Possess strong communication skills and maintain a professional approach and an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing especially with school staff, EWS/AAOs, social workers and other professionals
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and using the Internet
  • Be presentable, punctual and willing to help out when required
  • Have the ability to adapt to a challenging and ever-changing workload
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, willingness and interest in learning new skills
  • Have experience of working collaboratively with other areas including working with professionals from other agencies and in a multi- agency
  • Show good attention to detail
  • Work effectively, using own initiative, and as part of a team
  • Be familiar with SIMS.Net and other databases
  • Be committed to their own professional development
