Job Description

School: Special School, Hertfordshire

Job title: Teacher of Deaf children

Start date: January 2017

Salary: MPS/UPS, fringe allowance and SEN points

I am representing a high achieving special school which was recently rated "Good" in their last Ofsted and who promotes the belief that every child should "become the best they can". They strongly focus on teaching and assuring that each child is equipped with the necessary life skills to be adaptable, flexible and resilient and to relish a challenge.

Alongside providing excellent teaching to their students, they also invest a lot of time to promote independence in young people with disabilities. They are encouraged to be independent using positive reinforcement models which assure they are learning and grasping how to manage their own day to day tasks.

If you are looking for a new challenge and you thrive in new environments which are different to the norm- this role may be the one for you! The role offers more than just teaching, it gives you the opportunity to further your career within SEND and gain a better understanding of how to teach and support children with hearing impairments.
