Job title: Data and Exams Manager

Location: Greenwich

Job Start: ASAP

Salary scale: SO1 (29-31) £27,525 - £29,223 pro-rata

Contracted hours: 36 hours per week/41 weeks a year

We are seeking to recruit a data and exams manager on behalf of a school in the Greenwich area. The role will involve creating, overseeing and developing data and systems within the school, in order that the Senior Leadership Team are able to manage the direction, co-ordination and development of staff and raise educational attainment of pupils. The role will involve producing clear, concise, accurate information to support the school's senior leaders in evaluating and raising school performance, as well as developing solutions and strategies with senior leaders to increase school improvement. The successful applicant will also oversee the administration and organisation of all aspects of external examinations in accordance with the regulations laid down by the awarding bodies and will support the school in the collection, analysis and distribution of data.

Key responsibilities:

  • SIMS data management
  • Contribute to different forms of School census
  • Support the reporting of data to a range of stakeholders, including Ofsted
  • Deliver pupil data training to all staff
  • Support in the analysis of a range of data
  • To develop databases to support further school improvement
  • Creation of school timetables, including examination timetabling
  • Production and distribution of reports
  • Participate in strategic decision making
  • Ensure all exam entries are submitted in good time
  • Liaise with teaching staff re: access arrangements for SEN pupils
  • Ensure all examination guidance is adhered to, including the storage of test materials
  • Analysis of results
  • Provide and check all statistical information in relation to examinations
  • Liaise with awarding bodies as required
  • Oversee the arrangements for external and internal examinations

Essential skills for the role include:

  • Excellent ICT skills
  • In-depth knowledge of SIMS Exams and Assessment modules and Excel.
  • The ability to work accurately, flexibly, occasionally under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of administering public examinations and procedures
  • Experience of organisational data administration
