Position: Teaching Assistant

We're looking for a teaching assistant who specialises in SEN in the local Hartlepool area. With regards to SEN, a candidate will have to be able to deal with behavioural issues but also with pupils who fall within the autistic spectrum. The actually role itself will involve working in particular 1:1 with a child but occasionally working with small groups.
The school is located near all major transport links and is very accessible for drivers or those commuting on public transport. The school is also based in a new build and therefore the successful applicant would benefit from state of the art resources and teaching resources.
A successful candidate will be supporting the children with the work set by the teachers. You will be helping the children to;
-Become more confident in their own ability
-Behave in a positive manner
-Become more independent and self reliant
The successful candidate must be willing or have experience in the wide spectrum of SEN within the key stages 1, 2 and 3, including MLD, SLD, SPLD, EBD, Physical and Medical, and those on the Autistic Spectrum.
