To provide the key relationship anchor for a work placement project for a Further Education college, to identify and secure work placement opportunities for college students, across multi-curriculum areas, in line with targets, reporting to the Capita Employer Engagement Service Manager.
*Prospect and cold call employers and businesses
*Find and create work experience placement opportunities
*Demonstrate thorough and accurate administration and record keeping
*Create spreadsheets detailing activity and information
*Build and develop on-going relationships with employers to promote links between the college and business
*Represent Capita in a professional manner at all times
*Meet and exceed targets
*Liaise closely with college tutors and their students and best match them to work placement opportunities
*Communicate with employers to monitor individual student placements
*Work cooperatively as part of the a team
*Being adaptable to any new responsibilities, tasks or duties which may arise as the role evolves
*Communicate seamlessly with the team, employers and college tutors in a collaborative and constructive manner to ensure successful student placements
*Attend meetings to discuss employer engagement and student requirements as required
*Provide matching service for students to work placement opportunities
*Provide an excellent and friendly customer service
Qualifications, experience and skills required:
*A Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) qualification would advantageous; preferably a minimum of Level 3
*Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C or above) or level 2 equivalent
*A proven and successful track record in employer engagement or sales
*Experience working in a school or college
*Ability to achieve and exceed targets
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to quickly build rapport and successfully engage with people internally and externally
*Experience of operating pro-actively, independently and self-motivation
*Excellent organisational, administrative and computer skills
*An enhanced DBS registered on the Online Update Service and/or the willingness to apply for a DBS
*An understanding of the further education sector in the UK (preferable)
Please note that the role requires travel to college campuses and employers based in London using public transport.
