Qualified Teachers and NQTs experienced in Special Needs environments we want to hear from you! This is a great opportunity to work in our South East London schools that caters for children aged 4-13 years old with a primary diagnosis of Autism. The school provide an outreach support to children and young people and put the children's needs at the centre of the school. We are seeking a strong individual with experience working in an SEN setting, to support young children with Special Educational Needs. You will bring your passion and dedication and build strong relationships with children on the Autism spectrum and give them the support and teaching they need to make a difference to children's learning and development. You must have a diverse and proactive approach to teaching and have the ability to differentiate learning approaches within the classroom. To be suitable for this role you will require: *Hold a QTS/NQT *Experience working in an SEN setting *Clear communication skills and ability to speak English fluently *Experience in Makaton and PECS *Confident with challenging behaviour You will be working in a school that provides excellent facilities for children with Autism, and ensures their needs are supported accordingly so they can meet educational expectations. Teaching and learning will be based on the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the National Curriculum. They encourage teachers to be proactive in delivering the curriculum appropriately, having excellent classroom practice and a genuine passion to work with children with Special Educational Needs. They also encourage teachers to have PECS and Makaton and Autism Awareness training, so if you have additional qualifications and experience in those fields this will benefit your application. They also deliver CPD training opportunities for all staff and support their staff accordingly to ensure they can progress in their teaching careers, this is a good opportunity to welcome NQTs to apply for this position also.
