Monarch Education are working with a number of Secondary Schools in Buckinghamshire who are looking to appoint graduates to 1 year contract Teaching Assistant positions to run from September 2016-July2017,allowing you to then start your teacher training in September 2017! Is this the opportunity you have been looking for? ***Graduate Teaching Assistant Positions ***English, Maths and Science Graduates Required. ***1 Year Contracts ***Ideal positions for those looking to gain school based experience before starting Teacher Training ***£12,000 - £16,000 annual salary (Pro-Rata Salary) Monarch Education are working with a number of clients across Buckinghamshire to identify high calibre graduates with degrees within core subjects to take on 1 year contract roles as a Teaching Assistant for the academic year 2016/17. These positions are an ideal opportunity for graduates looking to gain school based experience to get exposure within a school setting in a paid capacity, supporting your applications to start PGCE or initial teacher training courses in September 2017. The positions on offer are those of Teaching Assistant, meaning the successful applicant will work within their degree subject department providing support within the classroom and to small groups of pupils or on a one to one basis. The role will see you working with pupils across the age range, often with a focus on supporting pupils coming up to national exams, supporting them in ensuring they hit their targeted achievement levels. This could mean working with gifted and talented pupils on a one to one or group basis, working with pupils who require intervention due to falling behind their targeted attainment levels, again on a one to one or group basis or supporting the class teacher within the classroom during standard lessons. The schools we work with will support the applicants with the development of their skills, over time ceding more responsibility to you, to provide you with a strong grounding and experience that will stand you in good stead for your teacher training. A number of the schools that we work with offer School Direct and Teach First places meaning should you impress during your tenure there may be the option to complete your teacher training the following year at the same school. If you are interested in becoming a teacher this position is ideal for you! To apply for this position please submit a copy of your CV to Chris at Monarch today.
