Are you a qualified teacher of geography? Are you a forward thinking teacher interested in joining a bustling humanities department within an Ofsted rated 'Good' school?
A large 11 to 18 secondary academy is in need of a qualified geography specialist who is able to teach across KS3 and KS4 on a full-time basis. This is a temporary position, initially for 1 term with the possibility to extend or go permanent in September 2016. The school are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and innovative geography teacher who is able to start as soon as possible.
As a full-time teacher you'll be required to plan and prepare your lessons in line with the school's curriculum, as well as mark and assess students' work on an on-going basis. This is a 360 teaching role and the school are looking for a committed and passionate professional who will strive to deliver outstanding lessons which will help their students engage, learn and progress with their studies.
To be successful, you'll have:
*A cleared DBS check (if you don't have a current one, Capita can process one for you)
*Previous experience working as a teacher
