Oaks Park High School

About Us

Oaks Park High School is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school situated in Newbury Park, Ilford. Opened in September 2001, Oaks Park now has over 1600 students on roll, with more than 380 in the Sixth Form. The school enjoys a good reputation for both academic success and achievement beyond the classroom.

Our most recent Ofsted Inspection took place in October 2011 and we are delighted to be recognised by Ofsted as an ‘Outstanding School’. Many features of the school were judged to be outstanding, including the curriculum, students’ personal development and the quality of care, guidance and support.

Our Sixth Form has grown rapidly since it opened in September 2006 and offers a wide range of courses to students from Oaks Park and other schools.

We also became a Specialist Music College in September 2006 and music continues to play an important role in the lifeof the school.

Extra-curricular activities are equally important and we have an excellent record for sporting achievement.

Oaks Park plays a significant role within the local community. The school is open until 10:00pm each evening and also at weekends. School Plus is responsible for offering a wide-ranging programme which includes sporting activities and drama and theatre groups, in addition to several academic options.

Oaks Park has been requested by the local authority to expand to 10 forms of entry in order to accommodate additional students into the school. This will take place in September 2015.

We hope that Oaks Park can offer your son or daughter a first class education and provide them with opportunities to nurture and develop their skills and interests.
