Welcome to Lockers Park School
School life at Lockers Park has been going on since 1874. Upon her retirement as a teacher here, Ruth Barden spent many hours cataloguing and preserving the school archives. Her research led to the publication of her book, A History of Lockers Park School.
This interesting book gives an insight into life at Lockers over the 125 years from 1874 – 1999. It includes tales of famous and notorious old boys, Headmasters and staff, the problems of arranging travel home during the Great War!
A Message from the Headmaster
Lockers Park has a spirit of purpose and sense of community of which we are justly proud. We believe that our surroundings and modern facilities, set as they are in 23 acres of beautiful parkland, provide the ideal environment for successful learning and personal development.
We teach a broad curriculum with kindness and care, blending it with the best of the school’s traditions. By the time he leaves, your boy will have been encouraged to be confident both socially and academically and to achieve his best in today’s changing and challenging world.
"A small but perfectly formed school ." Good Schools Guide
With an established heritage of over 140 years, Lockers Park offers a first class education, holds traditional values dear and infuses this with modern practice. We are proud of our deservedly high reputation for being a school with strong results but also where the welfare and happiness of the children are at the heart of all we do.
Our emphasis is not just on academic excellence, but also pastoral care and extra-curricular activities and we believe that this is summed up best by our school motto – good results, good manners and good fun.
