Hertford Regional College is one of the largest further education colleges in Hertfordshire. Based over two sites in Broxbourne and Ware, the College was formed from the merger of Ware College and East Herts College in the early 1990s. Since then the College has grown in size, currently employing 900 staff, and also in reputation. It offers the widest range of courses available to learners and services for business and its results make it the best performing college in Hertfordshire.
HRC has good community presence, locally and throughout the surrounding areas, including the NextStep centres in Waltham Cross and Bishop’s Stortford. The College’s mission is “enriching our communities through learning for all.” HRC achieves this mission through its strong links with local councils, businesses and educational organisations and its commitment to quality courses and teaching staff in a well supported college environment.
Facilities at HRC include art studios, hairdressing and beauty salons, construction and motor vehicle workshops, student centres, libraries, information centre, PC workspaces and refectories.
The college course portfolio includes academic and vocational courses for students aged 16+, higher education programmes delivered in partnership with local universities, non-vocational leisure programmes for adults, plus a growing range of provision for 14-16 year olds in partnership with local schools.
Whether you are looking to Hertford Regional College as a step forward towards a successful career, retraining, progression to university or to pursue an area of interest, HRC has something for you. We offer a wide range of full and part-time courses, Apprenticeships and professional and leisure courses.
